About Us

Who are we?

Mountain Hope Church is a group of people who are exploring what it means to have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  It’s not a building or an organisation but a relational group of people.  In other words, it’s a spiritual family who share common beliefs and a common vision and a few important common values or are exploring these. We know that we are not perfect people!

Our vision is to be “a 52:7 church, connecting people to Jesus”.  The numbers 52 and 7 have two meanings.

Firstly, it comes from Isaiah Chapter 52 verse 7, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”  Simply it means to bring the good news of Jesus to people in order to bring them to Jesus, so that they may have relationship with Jesus and eventually follow Him and to become like Him. 

Secondly, it means 52 weeks a year and 7 days of each week. In order words, 52:7 means everyday of the year.  We are not interested in being a church who meets only once a week.  We want to be a church who brings the good news to people everyday and everywhere.
